Behind the Song: ‘Wichita Lineman’ – American Songwriter Magazine, Jan/Feb 2012

“Wichita Lineman” is on many people’s short list of the best pop songs of all time.  But when Jimmy Webb wrote it,  not only did he doubt he had a surefire hit, he didn’t even think he had finished the song.  It was a joy to interview him for this article, which appears in the Jan/Feb 2012 issue of American Songwriter Magazine.
